ISRO said that the Low Earth Orbit (LEO) will map the whole surface of the earth every 12 days to offer consistent data about the earth with high-resolution images.

ISRO launched on Wednesday a $1.5 billion, first-of-its-kind radar imaging satellite built in collaboration with NASA, deploying it to help enhance global monitoring of climate change and natural disasters.

The NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar ( NISAR) satellite, a joint Earth observation mission between India and the US, has finally been launched. The payload took off aboard ISRO's GSLV-F16 rocket from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
