2025年F1第11戦オーストリアGPを前に、レッドブル・リンクで奇妙な出来事が起きた。国際自動車連盟（FIA）が公式コース全長を4.318kmから4.326kmへと変更したのだ。わずか8mの差、それはF1マシン約2台分にすぎない。

F1は6月29日、オーストリアGPの開催契約を2041年まで延長すると発表した。これにより、美しいシュタイアーマルク州の山々に囲まれたレッドブル・リンクでのグランプリ開催が、少なくとも今後16年間にわたって保証されることになった。
