Singapore’s long-ruling People’s Action Party has secured another general election landslide, extending its 66-year unbroken rule.

Singapore’s People’s Action Party won its 14th successive election on Saturday to extend its unbroken six-decade rule, delivering a strong mandate to its new premier as the city-state braces for economic turbulence from a global trade war.

Wong who has led Singapore's People’s Action Party to an election victory, began his career as a civil servant and economist before entering politics in 2011.
