COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s Sam Petitto, the program’s director of player personnel, is leaving for LSU. He’ll work as the director of scouting and personnel strategy for the Tigers, according to a report from On3.

Five-star athlete Lamar Brown committed to the LSU Tigers on Thursday over the Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M Aggies. Brown is from University Laboratory School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and is a member of the 2026 recruiting class. He is considered a multi-sport athlete and is a track and field star when not playing football.

LSU now has two edge defenders in the 2026 class, and both have come from Florida. Lafayette joined top 100 recruit Trenton Henderson, a four-star out of Pensacola, Florida, who committed to LSU last week. Before Lafayette's commitment, LSU's class was ranked No. 7 by 247Sports and No. 5 by On3/Rivals.
