Carlos Mendoza wasn’t worried about Juan Soto after the New York Mets star slugger didn’t homer in his first 15 home games at Citi Field.

Soto’s solo shots were not enough to prevent a 4-2 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks on a day Mets ace Kodai Senga lasted only four innings and the rest of the offense struggled.

Juan Soto, who signed a $765 million contract this offseason, finally cleared the fences with his first two home runs at Citi Field since joining the Mets.
