The Who didn’t really gain much popularity in the U.S. until 1969, when they released the album “Tommy” and played at Woodstock. By the time they released “Who’s Next” in 1971, they were one of the biggest bands in the world, filling stadiums.

Legendary rock band The Who announced their final tour of North America on Thursday, saying after six decades of making music, all good things must come to end.

In 2015, The Who’s 50th anniversary tour was dubbed as a “long goodbye” by Daltrey and saw them play 70 shows in Europe, North America and Asia. Between 2019 and 2021, the band toured their 2019 album WHO, their first in 13 years.
