Iran has fired about 10 missiles at the US military's Al Udeid Air Base in Doha, the capital of Qatar. The attack has caused panic across the Middle East. Even though the target was in Qatar, warning sirens were heard in nine different countries.

Iran launched missile attacks late night on Monday on US military bases in Qatar and Iraq, retaliating for the American bombing of its nuclear sites and escalating tensions in the volatile region.

The US moved aircraft and heavy equipment from Qatar's Al-Udeid base to stations in Saudi Arabia in the lead up to Iran's retaliatory strike, an official from the region told Middle East Eye.
