The lone Air India crash survivor, Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, was reportedly sat in the same seat another survivor sat in years ago.

Indian authorities have ordered what they called “extended surveillance” of all Boeing 787 aircraft in the country’s fleet while they investigate the cause of Thursday’s crash of an Air India plane.

A London-bound Air India flight with over 242 passengers and 10 crew members on board crashed on Thursday in the Meghani region of Ahmedabad, close to the city’s airport. The aircraft had taken off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at 1.

Air India plane crash investigators have found both of the Boeing 787's "black boxes," hopefully brining an understanding of the cause of the disaster a step closer.

However, the regulator has mandated enhanced safety inspections for the airline’s fleet of 33 Boeing 787 jets.
