The Boston Bruins announced today, June 24, the club's official 2025 preseason schedule, which will begin on Sunday, September 21 when the Bruins take on the Washington Capitals at TD Garden at 5 p.m.

The Capitals, with star winger Alex Ovechkin expected to retire next spring, will open up the Bruins’ preseason in Boston, Sept. 21, at 5 p.m. The Flyers, who dealt for ex-Boston University standout Trevor Zegras on Monday, will be next in town, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m.

The Bruins checked off one of their in-house tasks of the offseason on Monday morning, with the team announcing that it signed defenseman Mason Lohrei to a two-year contract extension worth a $3.2 million cap hit.
