iOS 26のリリース後、Apple CarPlayに興味深い新機能が登場（写真：Apple） iOS 26は2025年6月9日（月）に開催されたWWDC 2025で正式に発表されました。幸いにも、Apple CarPlayにも新機能が追加されます。

ラジオ聴取アプリ「radiko」のiOS版が6月24日までに、Apple CarPlayに対応した。iPhoneなどを車載ディスプレイに接続することで、radikoアプリをクルマの画面から直接操作して、ラジオやポッドキャストを楽しめる。

CarPlayの普及を妨げる構造的な問題だが、若年層を中心に消費者の意識は確実に変化しており、スマートフォンとの連携を重視する声は年々高まっている。加えて、後述するようにCarPlay Ultraは、こうした障壁を緩和する効果をもたらすかもしれない。
