Hustisford and Beaver Dam, both located in Dodge County, saw tornadoes briefly touch down Wednesday afternoon.

A large confirmed tornado was spotted touching down in Dougleville, Wisconsin, as captured in dramatic video footage, shared on social media by storm chasers. The video shows a large funnel cloud near a highway under the dark skies.

3:30 p.m. UPDATE: A tornado warning is in effect for southeastern Columbia County, northeastern Dane County and west-central Dodge County until 4 p.m. Additional tornado warnings are in effect for western Fond du Lac County, northeastern Columbia County, northwestern Dodge County and southeastern Dodge County, also until 4 p.m.

Milwaukee, Dane, Ozaukee, Waukesha, Kenosha and Racine counties are among more than 30 Wisconsin counties under a tornado watch.

A tornado watch for all of southeast Wisconsin has expired. The watch was in effect until 7 p.m. Storms are expected to move into the western counties, such as Jefferson County, as early as 3 p.m. Severe weather is most likely along the leading edge of the line.

The First Warn Weather Team began alerting southern Wisconsin early Tuesday about the potential for tornadoes on Wednesday. Chief Meteorologist Alex Harrington called for an ALERT DAY

A tornado hit Dane County, WI, moving NE at 30 mph from Mazomanie to Sauk City. Monticello and Prairie du Sac are also under threat, per NWS.

A Madison meteorologist called his mother while he was on air to tell her to take cover as a tornado roared overhead.
